Beach bag madness

Okay here is that beach bag that I promised. Just for a reminder I ran out of the gray yarn when, so I kinda of switched the colors to improvise the project (that's why there isn't two gray stripes at the top). To my surprise it actually came out not that bad. For those who don't know what the symbol means its stand for the rap group Kottonmouth Kings.  However, the pattern that I am posting WILL NOT have the symbol that's on the bag. It will just be a plain beach bag and will most likely be smaller because i revised the pattern to not make it so big and long. The
reason being is that I haven't figured out how to put the chart pattern onto my blog, but until that day I figure out how to do, I'll be making a lot more blog post and more projects to come. FYI the pattern is for 2 colors, and that doesn't mean it has to be green and gray the bag can be two different colors of your choice. Well here is the patterns.

BEACH BAG

Materials

• 2 skeins colors of your choice. (worsted weight 4 ply) Color A (dominate color of bag)
  
• 2 skeins colors of your choice (worsted weight 4 ply) Color B
  
• hook size J
• stitch markers

Rnd 1: With color A make a magic circle. chain 3. 6 dc in magic circle. Join with slip stitch at top of ch 3 and ch 3 (don't forget to mark your rows). (6 dc)

Rnd 2: 2 dc in each dc. Join with slip stitch at the top of ch 3 and ch 3. (12 dc)

Rnd 3: * 2 dc in first dc, then 1 dc in the next dc* repeat from ( * ) around. Join with slip stitch at top of ch 3. ( 18 dc )

Rnd 4: 2 dc in first dc, then 1 dc in the next dc. *2 dc in next dc, then 1 dc in the next 2 dc* repeat around. Join with slip stitch at stop of ch 3 and ch3. (25 dc)

Rnd 5: 2 dc in first dc, then 1 dc in next 2 dc. * 2sc in next dc, then 1 dc in next 3 dc* repeat around. Join with slip stitch at top of ch 3, and ch 3 (32 dc)

Rnd 6: 2 dc in first dc, 1 dc in next 3 dc. *2dc in next dc, then 1 dc in next 4 dc* repeat around. Join ss at top of ch 3, ch 3 (39 dc)

Rnd 7: 2 dc in first dc, 1 dc in next 4 dc. *2 dc in next dc, then 1 dc in 5 dc* repeat around. Join ss at top of ch 3. ch 3 ( 46 dc)

Rnd 8: 2 dc in first dc, 1 dc in 5 dc. * 2 dc in next dc, then 1 dc in 6 dc* repeat around. Join ss at top of ch 3. ch 3 (53 dc)

Rnd 9: 2 dc in first dc, 1 dc in next 6 dc. * 2 dc in next dc, then 1 dc in next 7 dc* repeat around. Join ss at top of ch 3. ch3 (60 dc)

Rnd 10: 2 dc in first dc, 1 dc in next 7 dc. *2 dc in next dc, then 1 dc in next 8 dc* repeat around. Join ss at top of ch 3. ch 3 (67 dc)

Rnd 11: 1 dc in each dc around. Join ss with color B and ch 3 (67 dc)

Rnd 12: With color B, 1 dc in each dc around. Join ss with color A and ch 3. (67 dc)

Rnd 13: With color A, 1 dc in each dc around. Join ss with color B and ch 3 (67 dc)

Rnd 14: With color B, 1 dc in each dc around. Join ss with color A and ch 3 (67 dc)

Rnds 15-42: With color A, 1 dc in each dc around. Join ss at top of ch 3 (67 dc)

Rnds 43-45: Repeat rounds 12-14

Rnd 46: With color A, 1 dc in each dc. (67 dc) fasten off.


Strap

Row 1: with color A ,ch 62

Row 2: hdc in 2nd chain from the hook, then 1 hdc in each chain. ch 2 ( 60 hdc)

Rows 3-4: 1 hdc in each hdc across, at end of row ch 2. (60 hdc)

fasten off

Assembly

• sew the strap on the top and the bottom at the back of the bag. (where you started each row)
• get yarn and make a chain long enough to weave into at the stop of the bag for open/close.
