"ombre" Slouch Hat

My sister-in-law's birthday is coming up pretty soon, and My husband told me she wanted a slouch hat like the one I made my husband. I had a better idea and thought I could make a better one. No offence to my husband. I had also made her a infinity scarf since she has been a fan of those scarves. The colors that I made the scarf was good for a scarf, but for a slouch hat? uhhmm not so cute unless you were at pre-teen, and she is 27. So I chose two different colors gray and black. At first I wanted to create the hat ombre style, but as I was making the hat it wasn't working out as planned. BUT, it has a hint of ombre to it, so I guess that's something. Future reference I would make the colors stripes a little smaller instead of thick stripes.

Here is the pattern. I hope you enjoy the pattern.

Saints chart patterns

One of my original post like 5 years ago, I had made a Saints beanie for my dad, and at the time I had made that pattern on a hard copy. At the time I did not know how to transfer the pattern to a digital pattern. Well five years later I have found a site that I could make my own pattern on a digital format. Although, the side is for bracelet, or bead making pattern, but I used that concept for a crochet level. The Saints pattern that I made on that site may not be the exact pattern that I had done for my dad, but it will do. In the near future I will test out the pattern for a hat or maybe something else.  I hope this will do. Also the gray outline on the fluer di lis could be switched to a black outline. Nonetheless, here it is. years later.

Oh by the way, the site that I made the pattern chart on was called bracelet book

   Enjoy,

Roughly five years later.

In the my almost five year absence I have been through lots of life changing events. I neglected my blog and I am sorry. Not that anyone has probably been following me. But now that I am back in full swing on my hooking I know that I will be posting a lot more post in the upcoming future. In the five years that I have been gone I have gotten married to my best friend, and moved to a different country. It has been a whirlwind I'll tell ya that. Now that I become something I never thought that was me, a house wife. Not that there is anything wrong with that, I just was never raised that way with my single mother. But here I am in Turkey with a lot of language barriers and culture shock and been blessed to travel the world with my husband. Now that I have lot of free time on my hand, I stated hooking a lot more and completed projects, and I have never been happier.

The current projects I have working on a stormtrooper granny square blanket that I have been working relentlessly, and a infinty scarf that I am making for my sister in law's birthday coming up in about a month. after that I will be starting to writing patterns again, and posting them on here. hopefully, I  can get some momentum on this blog.

    Till next time.
