My sister-in-law's birthday is coming up pretty soon, and My husband told me she wanted a slouch hat like the one I made my husband. I had a better idea and thought I could make a better one. No offence to my husband. I had also made her a infinity scarf since she has been a fan of those scarves. The colors that I made the scarf was good for a scarf, but for a slouch hat? uhhmm not so cute unless you were at pre-teen, and she is 27. So I chose two different colors gray and black. At first I wanted to create the hat ombre style, but as I was making the hat it wasn't working out as planned. BUT, it has a hint of ombre to it, so I guess that's something. Future reference I would make the colors stripes a little smaller instead of thick stripes.
Here is the pattern. I hope you enjoy the pattern.

- leave long excess yarn to sew the top closed. Weave in ends.
**For the single woven thread
- Get tapestry needle and and extra long piece of yarn of opposite color and start at the back of seam, weave yarn in and out of each stitch of single row. Weave each color on of the first row of color change. Use opposite color of the row you are about to weave to "enhance" the 'ombre' effect. see picture below
