Slouchy Mesh Hat

It has been awhile since I have posted anything on here. I got into a little hooking slump if you will, but I think I got my momentum back. Since spring is approaching I figured I could make a hat that is spring friendly, and it will not be too hot to wear. The stitch I used is called Arch Mesh stitch. It's really simple and easy, and the hat will finish really quick.
I am in the process of getting some type of mannequin head to I can display my projects better, and I kind of don't like modeling the projects. Anyway here is the pattern, feel free to post any question, about it. I made a few of these hats already so I can get the pattern down.

Note: I also used red heart super saver yarn on this patterns is comes out just as fine as the Simply Soft.
I made two different sizes of this hat. The blue hat is a smaller hat could fit a child, and the other two colors are adult sizes

                Supplies

  • One skein of Caron Simply Soft
  • Hook Size: I
  • Stitch Markers
  • Yarn Needle
  • Scissors
               Stitches

  • Chain (ch)
  • Stitch (st)
  • Slip Stitch (slst)
  • Single Crochet (sc)
  • Half Double Crochet (hdc)
  • Double Crochet (dc)
  • Chain 5 Space (ch-5 sp)

-Ch 66 (58 child)

slst to first ch creating a circle. (make sure it's untwisted or you have a bad time when      continuing on)
Round 1- ch 2, 1 hdc around for a total 66 stitches (58). slst at beg st of row, and mark stitch
Round 2- * ch 5, skip the next 3 sts, 1 sc in the next st. Repeat from* DC at the begining of round, and mark stitch (16 ch-5 sp) (14 ch-5 sp)
Round 3- ch 6, 1 sc in the first ch-5 sp. *ch 5, 1 sc in next ch-5 sp, repeat from * end the row with a 1 sc and dc on top of the dc from previous row and mark stitch. (16 ch-5 sp) (14 ch-5 sp)

Repeat Round 3 till desired length, and slst on the dc. Leave a long tail for sewing in the top closed. I usually made 20-22 rows from the adult hat, and 17 rows for the smaller size. It is whatever you prefer

Finishing- you are going to get a long peice of yarn and sew the top closed.
